Hi all, I’m Caela!

Welcome to this corner of my life. Although I’m originally from southern Illinois, I now reside in St. Louis, Missouri. Working in their vibrant arts scene as a Communications Manager has allowed me to experience firsthand the incredible work happening here.

I hold a BS in Media + Entertainment with a focus on Law and Ethics from Middle Tennessee State University. There, I studied various aspects of entertainment, journalism, and intellectual property within the context of a changing legal landscape.

After college, I worked as a Contributor for MusicRow Magazine in Nashville, Tennessee, where I covered music industry news and events for a leading trade publication. Check out a few of my favorite pieces on my portfolio page!

I re-entered the St. Louis scene through the Center of Creative Arts, where I served as their Audience Services and Rentals Manager, sharpening my skills in event planning and operations before returning to the marketing field.

When I’m not working full-time, I’m out in St. Louis, attending arts events and shows, and supporting local artists. It’s always a pleasure to catch a concert or play, especially knowing the crew behind the scenes and on stage who made it all happen.

I have THE coolest family ever, and we have a sweet lil dog, too! They are all my loves, my inspiration, and my comedic relief. In my free time, I love reading romantic comedies, binge-watching the new Percy Jackson show, playing piano, and having movie marathons.
